The Importance and Art of Giving

This is the season to be jolly, merry and celebration. Yet so many people might not have food on the table or something to look forward to cheerfully around the festive season. It’s during this time that people become even more generous in their giving. When you give during this festive season, know that you will be making a difference in the life of someone who might not have hope for something special to look forward to.

We have witnessed the growth in volunteerism over the past few years. But, there is still room for improvement to increase the numbers and for people to appreciate the importance of volunteerism and giving towards worthy causes.

The Covid-19 pandemic has really altered the social, political and economic landscapes across the globe. It has been reported that many people lost their jobs and almost their livelihoods as a result of the pandemic.

Ordinary folk in society opened their hearts and wallets to help the needy with food parcels and temporary shelters, which became a reality for the affected families.

Giving of your time in the form of volunteerism although it has been growing is still not appreciated for the difference it can make to bring about change.
